Privacy policy
Last updated October 3, 2026
This policy explains what personal information fizzwizz.ca collects, why we collect it, who else handles it, and what choices you have.
Who we are
fizzwizz.ca is operated by Allendale Electronics Ltd, 41 S Water Street, Lockeport, Nova Scotia B0T 1L0, Canada, which builds and supports FizzWizz and BrewWizz products. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Allendale Electronics Ltd. This policy covers this website only. Our online shop at brewwizz.com and the BrewWizz dashboard are separate services and may have their own privacy notices.
What we collect
Information you give us
This site has no accounts, forms or checkout. If you email or phone us, we receive what you choose to share, such as your name, contact details, company and the details of your question. We use it to answer you, provide support and handle purchasing inquiries, and we keep it in our email and phone records.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data in server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request and the time of the request. We use it to deliver and secure the site.
- Error records. When someone requests a page that does not exist, we record the address requested, the page that linked to it and the browser’s user agent. We do not store IP addresses in these records.
- Analytics data from the two tools described below.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4, set up through the Site Kit by Google plugin, to see which pages visitors view and how they arrive. It uses cookies (listed below) to tell visits apart. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses, and uses the address only to work out approximate location. We have not linked Google Ads or AdSense to our account, we do not use the data for advertising, and visits by signed-in site administrators are excluded. Event-level data is kept for no more than 14 months. Google processes this data on its own servers, including in the United States.
To opt out, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or block cookies in your browser. You can read how Google handles data in Google’s privacy policy.
Grain Analytics
We also use Grain Analytics (grainql.com), a privacy-focused analytics service. It does not use cookies and does not store your IP address. It records page views with basic context, such as the page and its type, and uses your IP address only to estimate an approximate location at the moment of the request.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. This site uses the following.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells visitors apart so usage can be counted | 2 years |
| _ga_Y527XKCS2E | Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current session | 2 years |
| breakdance_view_count, breakdance_session_count, breakdance_last_session_id | This site (Breakdance site builder) | Counts pages and visits in your current session so page display rules can work | Session |
| PHPSESSID | This site | Standard session identifier used by the server | Session |
Grain Analytics sets no cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
Other services that receive technical data
- Google Fonts. The site’s typeface is loaded from Google’s servers, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
- Livid. The product video on the home page is hosted by Livid. When the video loads, Livid receives your IP address and device details and may use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes traffic to speed it up and protect it.
- Our hosting provider stores the site and its server logs.
- Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Our footer links to our profiles. We do not embed their code, but if you follow those links their own policies apply.
How we use information
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To run and secure the website.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve them.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Sharing and transfers
We share information only with the service providers named above, and where the law requires it. Some of them, including Google, Cloudflare, Livid and Grain, may process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where privacy laws can differ from Canada’s.
How long we keep it
- Emails and phone records: for as long as we need them to support you and keep business records, then we delete or anonymize them.
- Google Analytics: event-level data for no more than 14 months.
- Grain Analytics: in our Grain account for as long as we need it to understand how the site is used.
- Server and error logs: for a limited time, for security and troubleshooting.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent for information you have given us. You can limit analytics as described above, or contact us if you would like analytics switched off for your visits. To ask a question or make a request, email [email protected].
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
This website is for businesses and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
